Privacy Policy — Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon
Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon is a harbour tycoon game: catch fish at the pier, clean them at the table, stock the ice display, serve the queue at the till, hire a crew and expand across the quay. The game itself runs entirely on your device; the only third-party services involved are Google’s, and they are described below.
This policy explains what Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon does and does not do with your information. It applies to the Android application Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon published under the package name com.iaengineering.wharftycoon. By installing and using the app you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
Summary
Your game progress is stored locally on your device. The app has no account system and no sign-in, collects no personal information for the developer, and never sells or shares your personal data. The app shows no forced advertising of any kind — no banners, no interstitials, no pop-ups. It contains an optional, clearly labelled “watch a video ad” feature that you only ever trigger yourself, served by Google AdMob, and an optional one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Those Google services are the only third parties that ever receive data from the app, and only when you use the related feature or consent to it.
Information the developer collects
Nothing. The developer of Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon does not collect, receive, store, sell, rent or share any personal information about you. Specifically, the app does not send the developer:
- your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
- your contacts, calendar, photos, files or messages;
- your location, precise or approximate;
- your usage behaviour, gameplay logs or crash reports.
The app has no account system, no analytics SDK of the developer’s own, and no crash-reporting SDK. There is no server operated by the developer that could receive your data.
Information you enter, and where it is stored
Everything you create in Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon — your save game, settings and purchased benefits — is stored locally on your device, in the app’s own private storage area. It stays on your device.
The developer has no server that receives this data and cannot see, access, retrieve or read it. The data is not backed up to the developer and is not shared with any third party by the app. If your device is configured to sync app data to a cloud backup service you have chosen (for example a device-level backup provided by your phone’s manufacturer or operating system), that backup is controlled by you and by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy, not by this app.
Technical diagnostics kept on your device
To help debug problems, the app keeps a small technical log (for example error codes and performance events such as save recovery) on your device only. This log never leaves your device automatically. It can only leave your device if you deliberately use the export feature in the game’s settings and choose to share the exported file yourself — for example by emailing it to the developer to report a bug. Nothing is transmitted without that explicit action by you.
Advertising (optional rewarded ads only)
The app contains no banners, no interstitials, no pop-up ads and no ads of any kind that play on their own. The only advertising is opt-in: at a few clearly labelled moments (for example doubling a return bonus or a temporary in-game boost) the app offers a “watch a video ad” choice. Nothing ad-related happens unless you tap that choice.
Those video ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland/Google LLC). When an ad loads or plays, Google receives technical data such as your IP address, device information and, depending on your consent choices and your device settings, your advertising ID. Google uses this to deliver the ad, cap frequency and prevent fraud. The developer does not receive your advertising ID or any personal data from this process — only anonymous, aggregated revenue information.
Your choices control this. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before serving ads; you can review or change that choice at any time through the “Privacy options” entry in the game’s settings. Everywhere, you can also reset or change your advertising preferences in your device’s settings (Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads). If ads are unavailable — no consent, no network, or no fill — the game continues to work normally; the free path is never blocked behind an ad.
Google’s own privacy policy, which governs AdMob’s data processing, is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
In-app purchases (Google Play Billing)
The app sells one optional product, a one-time “No Ads” upgrade that also improves the ad-supported bonuses (it removes the need to watch rewarded videos and doubles away-earnings). The purchase is processed entirely by Google Play; the app never sees or stores your payment card details. The app stores only a flag on your device recording that you own the product, and asks Google Play to confirm it. If you never make an in-app purchase, Play Billing is not used at all.
Purchase processing is handled by Google and is governed by Google’s privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Network use
The game itself works completely offline. Network connections happen only in three cases: when a rewarded ad is loading or playing (Google AdMob), when the consent form needs to load or record your advertising choices (Google), and when you start or restore an in-app purchase (Google Play). Apart from those Google services, the app does not transmit your data anywhere. The developer’s own systems receive nothing.
Notifications
Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon does not currently send push notifications. If a future update adds optional reminders, they will be generated locally on your device, will be off by default or opt-in, and this policy will be updated first.
Permissions
Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon requests only the device permissions it needs to provide its features, and those permissions are used on your device. The app does not use permissions to collect or transmit personal data.
Children’s privacy
Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app is intended for a general audience, and the developer does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 — the developer receives no personal information from anyone at all. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, you can remove all data created by the app by uninstalling it; if you have any concern, please contact the developer at ianskaitis@gmail.com.
Your control over your data, and deletion
You are in full control of the information in Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon, because it lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by either of these methods:
- using the in-app delete or reset controls, which clear the data the app stores; or
- uninstalling the app, which removes the app and its locally stored data from your device.
Because the developer never receives your data, there is no copy of it held by the developer to delete, export or correct, and no deletion request needs to be sent. Uninstalling the app or using the in-app reset is complete and final. Data held by Google (such as your advertising or consent choices) is controlled from your Google and device settings as described above. If you would like help with deleting data, or have any question about it, you can email the developer at ianskaitis@gmail.com.
Data security
Your data is protected by your device’s own security, including any screen lock, device encryption and operating-system protections you have enabled. Because the data is not transmitted to the developer, there is no developer-held database that could be breached. You should keep your device’s operating system up to date and use a screen lock to protect the data on your device.
Third-party services
To recap, the only third parties involved are Google’s:
- Google AdMob — serves the optional rewarded video ads, only after you tap a clearly labelled offer, subject to your consent choices;
- Google consent management (UMP) — records and stores your advertising consent choices on your device;
- Google Play Billing — processes the optional one-time purchase, only if you choose to buy it.
Fisherman's Wharf Tycoon does not include analytics providers, data brokers, or social-media tracking, and none of these services receive your game progress or personal information from the developer. This privacy-policy website contains no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
